Small Groups, Great Guides. That’s the idea.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We are architects and architectural historians and we live in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. We helped to build these cities – or at least we have strong opinions about them. So we can proudly claim that we know them inside out, and that we love to communicate our knowledge.

He can explain architectural concepts of the last 700 years, but also has down-to-earth knowledge about how to make a house or restore a foundation. He will even tell you about the houses he helped to build.
With his soft spot for urban planning, he will bring you to Amsterdam and Rotterdam to see the policy changes of the last century. But he’ll also tell you where the nicest bars and restaurants are. Because let’s be real, that’s also very important.

MAYIM FRIEDEN
Mayim Frieden combines urban sociology with architectural history to explore why we feel and act the ways we do as we move through the cityscape.
He first studied Art & Architectural History at Bard College in New York State, where he was born and raised, after which he pursued his Master’s in Urban Design within the Design Cultures programme at the Vrije Universities Amsterdam.
Mayim’s practice explores the influence that policymaking, planning practices, design features, and everything in between, can have on our public spaces. In tours with Mayim, you will collectively question and consider how architectural and urban characteristics can shape how you navigate space and how it may feel to do so, offering architectural and historical insights for why this may be.
